The mission of Crossway Montessori School (CMS) is to promote learning, creativity, and community for each child in the context of his or her first community--the family. Our experienced Montessori faculty observes each child within his/her class and creates an educational plan to build upon each child's natural tendency to explore and learn.
CMS promotes the development of independence in each child within the context of mixed-age classrooms and a multicultural community. Through their work, the children develop concentration and joyful self-discipline that prepares them for later educational experiences. By providing a respectful environment in which parents and teachers work together, each child can thrive and grow to his or her greatest potential.
CMS enrolls children from the age of 3 months to 6 years in full-day and half-day Montessori programs five days a week. CMS also offers before- and after-school enrichment care, as well as summer programs. CMS follows AMI's standards for Montessori pedagogy including curriculum for language development, practical life skills, mathematics, grace and courtesy, music and movement, as well as environmental science. An integral part of the children's outdoor education at CMS involves planting, cultivating and harvesting vegetables, fruit and flowers from the organic garden featured in the backyard.

Crossway's emphasis on providing the highest quality early childhood services to a broad spectrum of families has been a trademark of its programming.
