Well, D.C.-area moms and dads, autumn is finally here! We couldn't be more excited about the assortment of fall festivals, hay rides, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, nature hikes and other fall activities available throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland for fall 2012. Take a look at the calendar below, where we've compiled more than 100 of the region's best fall happenings for your convenience. See over 30 varieties of heirloom pumpkins and talk about his biodiversity-friendly farming methods. Then head to Sugarloaf Mountain for a picnic (bring your own bag lunch).
