Well, D.C.-area moms and dads, autumn is finally here! We couldn't be more excited about the assortment of fall festivals, hay rides, haunted houses, pumpkin patches, nature hikes and other fall activities available throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland for fall 2012. Take a look at the calendar below, where we've compiled more than 100 of the region's best fall happenings for your convenience. MoCo Epic Mountain Bike Rides and Festival. All ages (family-friendly event). 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Four fully supported EPIC rides plus kids' ride.
