Who We Are

Accredited by the American Camp Association, Camp Moss Hollow, affectionately called "The Hollow," is located on 401 acres of incredibly beautiful woods and is nestled in the foothills of the Shenandoah Valley in Markham, Virginia. It is about an hour drive from Washington, DC.

At our weekly residential summer camp, we provide learning experiences, leadership skills and exposure to athletics which are supervised and taught by qualified professionals. Our campers are housed in groups by gender and age and they enjoy a structured, fun-filled time away from home.

For the safety and well-being of each camper, we are proud to employ trained, multi-talented, culturally and racially diverse staff to include a full-time nurse on site. We participate in a cultural exchange program designed by the U.S. Department of State utilizing international certified camp counselors.

Each staff person is carefully screened with background clearances and drug tests. Additionally, youth and teens ages 7-14, have supervision with a staff to camper ratio of 1:5.
