Who We Are

Explore architecture, design, building, and engineering through hands-on activities, art projects, field trips, and visits to the Museum's galleries. The National Building Museum's summer camps offer a variety of experiential, design-based programming for rising 2rd-7th graders. Set in our beautiful historic building in downtown Washington, D.C., campers spend half their time focusing on their program's theme, and the other half participating in fun activities such as games, crafts, and other special activities. Campers are able to stretch and grow creatively, spend time with friends, learn and practice cooperative skills, and have a summer of fun.

Camps range from $450-$500 per week. Optional extended care is available for an additional fee. Become a National Building Museum family member and receive a $100 discount on camp.

What Others Say

This was an awesome camp! It is the best camp I've been to this summer. I can't wait to go again next summer. The counselors were very kind. My favorite projects were the golf courses and newspaper forts. - Camper, grade 5

Camp was so fun and awesome! My counselors were funny and cared about everyone equally. They always found a way to make everyone proud. - Camper, grade 6
